Plant-based protection

One research found that vegan gut microbiota* have a great abundance of protective species. The gut contains bacteria that are critical for health and (mental) well-being. Moreover, in HPBDs, especially vegan ones, there can be lower CRP levels, a protein that is a major marker of inflammation. Especially fruits, vegetables and nuts help against inflammation.
