Speciesism and colonialism

Failing to grasp animal languages and the resulting discrimination has occurred during the colonial era analogously. The languages of indigenous peoples were also considered unintelligible, which was misused as a justification for treating these peoples as inferior. Another analogy is that the lands of indigenous peoples were brutally taken away from them, similar to the environment of animals being transformed for human purposes, without considering animals as original and rightful inhabitants.
